Your Products in the Factory Layouts of Tomorrow

An envelope model is a true-to-scale, geometrically simplified representation of a product for factory planning. It represents the outer dimensions, contours, and planning-relevant attachments needed for placement – design details, internal components, and functions are not modeled.

Not every technical detail is required for layout and variant planning. Simplified envelope models are clear, can be used efficiently in factory layouts, and at the same time protect sensitive design information.

Project teams place your products in hall layouts, develop alternative arrangements, and evaluate, for example, space requirements, distances, or material flows. At the same time, visTable® serves as a communication tool: realistic 3D and VR layouts make solutions easy to understand for decision-makers. Your products thus become visible in early concept, layout, and investment planning – the models do not replace detailed design or execution planning.

Products that are spatially planned in factory layouts are particularly suitable – such as machines, workstations, racking systems, conveyor technology, intralogistics solutions, or technical infrastructure. You do not have to provide your entire product range: together we select the products that are particularly relevant for planning – frequently used products are usually a good starting point.

The most important basis is 3D CAD data for the selected products – the correct footprint and height are especially decisive for planning. If no 3D data is available, 2D drawings with the essential dimensions are sufficient for simply structured products. Product photos (for real colors and textures) and additional technical information that can be stored as attributes on the model are also helpful. We coordinate with you which data makes sense in your case.

The effort remains low. You provide existing 3D CAD data and relevant product information; the visTable® modelling team handles the preparation and modeling as a simplified envelope model. No design or post-processing specifically for visTable® is required. It is fastest if each product can be clearly identified – as a single file per product or as a named collection of several products.

The provided data is used exclusively within the manufacturer program and is not kept longer than necessary. On request, a non-disclosure agreement can be signed before the data is handed over.

Your products are available to project teams in the visTable® model library. They become visible above all through the model search – both when searching for your company and for a function (such as “forklift”). In the results, your models appear with the manufacturer name. Additional visibility is created – with a sufficient number of models – through a dedicated model catalog for your company. For products that require explanation, we can also add usage notes in the online help.

Yes. The models are implemented in your corporate or product colors (CI) – based on stored RGB or RAL values. Your product is thus recognizable by its color scheme alone. We deliberately do not place logos directly on the model, as the products are often used in the factory operator’s layout or as part of an overall installation where the planning scene is the focus. Your brand remains present through the manufacturer name, model catalog, and colors.

Yes. Before publication, we conduct a model review with you: you check the presentation, can request adjustments, and approve the model. Only after your approval is it published in the visTable® model library.

Yes, at any time – the manufacturer program simply continues with you as an existing contact. An update is particularly useful when something essential changes that is visible in the layout: new products, a revised portfolio, or changed outer contours and footprints. In such cases, feel free to approach us proactively – this way, visTable® users always plan with your current products, and you can also use visTable® to present new products, sometimes even before their market launch.
