Frequently asked questions about digital factory planning
Is the viewer really free of charge?
Yes. You do not need a ProductKey, do not occupy a license and do not have to be a visTable® customer to use the viewer.
Do I need the viewer if the full version of visTable® is already installed?
No. The viewer is installed with every installation of the full version. Simply start the viewer via the visTable® group in the Windows Start menu.
Which file formats can the viewer open?
The viewer opens visTable® files. The file extension is .vtlx. Layouts saved as Pack-and-Go are best suited.
What are the system requirements?
The software runs on 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11. No administrator rights are required to install the viewer – simply run the download. There is no need to set up a database or grant any special access rights. Everyone in your company can use the viewer free of charge and without hassle.
The viewer can also be made available to users via a central software distribution system. You will find more information on the following page for software distribution and packaging.
Where can I buy the full version of visTable®?
You order directly from the manufacturer – plavis GmbH. We will work out a suitable quote with you, which your purchasing department can then order.
How can I share my factory layouts with others?
Save your layout as a .vtlx or Pack&Go file and send it directly to colleagues or partners. The viewer opens the files immediately, without installation or license costs.
Can external partners or suppliers use the viewer?
Yes. The visTable®viewer is ideal for external planners, suppliers or customers, as it works without a license, without admin rights and without technical knowledge.
Can I measure distances, routes and areas in the viewer?
Yes, the viewer enables precise measurements directly in the layout, without CAD skills.
Does the visTable®viewer display material flows?
Yes. Material flows, goods flows and transport routes from the .vtlx file are visualized in the viewer.
Can layouts be edited in the viewer?
No. The viewer is strictly read-only, so that layouts cannot be changed accidentally.
